Our upcoming trip to Zambia has been a long time coming. It was previously planned and rescheduled twice-so even as I write this I am filled with excitement mixed with the fear of possible postponement. However, I am told that it is set. We head to Lusaka, Zambia, August 1, 2010. While in Zambia we will be partnering with Action International. At this beginning stage, we are planning on working with Zambian leaders to potentially start a new AWANA club in a rural church outside the capital city. AWANA will be a great tool for the Zambian church to use in order to reach children for Christ. Fifty percent of the population of Zambia is under the age of fifteen and the median age of the country is seventeen. How exciting it will be to see how far reaching the AWANA program will be.
